Great news in 1954 a baby was due in early 1955 so a new year was going to start a new chapter. Unfortunately a month before the baby arrived Sally lost her much loved Father and so it was a sad Christmas and New year for the family. On January 11th Sally went into the hospital at Marsden Green and gave birth to her first child a girl. Jacqueline.Sally managed to give Gordon’s mom and sister a birthday present as Jacqueline was the 3rd generation of girls born on that date. Sally went out one day left Jacqueline with Gordon and her brother Archie when she got back they were taking the traditional stripped baby photo’s Their eldest son arrived 26th May 1957.Both were thrilled to have a son and he was named for his dad and granddad Gordon William. Gordon was also born at Marston Green. Sally and Gordon got a bedroom to use as well as the front room when Gordon was born.But as the family was growing it was time to move into a place of their own
